MIGHT: Selangor on track to face industrial revolution 4.0

SUBANG, MAY 27: Selangor is on track to face industrial revolution 4.0 with the infrastructure offered and the presence of local and foreign investors that are operating in the most developed state in Malaysia.
Malaysian Industry – Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) President Datuk Dr Mohd Yusoff Sulaiman said the situation is an added factor for the state to generate a creative, innovative and entrepreneurial workforce to fulfil industry demands.
“Manufacturing companies have become more competitive and this means there is very little difference between manufacturing in Malaysia and other developed nations like Europe because the input is the same, as well as the systems and machines. The processes are the same as well.
“The government must encourage more research and development activities that are creative and innovative so that we can be ready to face new challenges brought by the industrial revolution 4.0,” he said when met by SelangorKini at the
MBI Talk Series 2017 (Vol #1) programme entitled ‘Revolusi Industri 4.0 & Inovatif Disruptif’ at The Saujana, Kuala Lumpur recently.
He is also MIGHT CEO, an agency under the Prime Minister’s Department.
He added that the newest industrial revolution involved technology in the areas of robotics, genetics and 3-dimensional printing.
