Citizens to continue enjoying Smart Selangor Bus

SHAH ALAM, JUNE 30: Selangor citizens can continue to enjoy the free Smart Selangor Bus service during festive seasons this year.
Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco, Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said all buses will run on schedule as usual without any exceptions.
“We provide services in the city and rural areas for the benefit of all Selangor people.
“It is hoped everyone can travel easily this hari raya with the Smart Selangor Bus service provided in the 11 local authority areas,” he said to SelangorKini.

The Smart Selangor Bus was first introduced in 2015 by three local authorities which were the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK).
Then it was expanded to Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) and Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) and Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS), Sepang District Council (MPSP), Kuala Selangor Dstrict Council (MDKS), Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) and Sabak Bernam District Council (MDSB).
As of 2016, the free bus service has recorded more than 5 million passengers with the highest number in MBSA with 1.2 million passengers, MPSJ (1 million) and MPK (601,860).
