SHAH ALAM, JUNE 1: A total of 200,000 people have registered with the Skim Peduli Sihat until May 30, 2017, ultimately exceeding the 50,000 registration target for the first quarter of 2017.
Selgate Group Chief Executive Officer, Noor Hisyam Ghouth said, new registration increases every month through integrated activities organised together with State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) and several local non-governmental organisations (NGO).
“Alhamdulillah, the response for this programme continue to be encouraging. We have done over 30 tours across Selangor with UPEN and several NGOs.
“Although we are just the vendor, we still do advertising and promotions in the media,” he said.
He said the target of one million Selangor citizens registered in the Skim Peduli Sihat can be achieved as planned.
Besides that, Selgate also uses BookDoc application to facilitate users to set their appointments with doctors.
For 2017, the State Government targets one million citizens to benefit from the scheme that provides basic health protection to help reduce their cost of living.
The number is expected to come from 250,000 families in the B40 group that consist of four family members with monthly income between RM1,500 to RM3,000.
