Merdeka Unity Fun Run 2017 DUN Seri Andalas September 16

SHAH ALAM, AUG 18: The Seri Andalas State Legislative Council (DUN) Community Service Centre will be organising Merdeka Unity Fun Run 2017 in conjunction with the 60^th Independence Day Celebration and 54^th Malaysian Day, this September 16.
Seri Andalas State Council Member, Dr Xavier Jayakumar said, they are organising this programme for the first time with cooperation from Klang Municipal Council (MPK).
“The first 1,000 participants will receive free T-shirts by registering online at larian-uniti.com.

“The public, especially those staying around Seri Andalas are invited to participate in this programme which will be held at Dataran Kolam Rekreasi Bandar Puteri, Klang,” he said in a statement.
Xavier said, the programme will start as early as 6.30 am with a distance of five kilometres, followed by tree-planting, fish-releasing and merdeka concert.
“Among other events which will attract visitors is the time-capsule burying where letters, pictures, messages and notes are addressed to loved ones.
“These items will be inserted in a time capsule and buried near the recreational pond. The capsule will be opened in 60 years which will be in year 2077.
“This is the opportunity for us to convey messages and stories of how life is now and hope Malaysia will be a better place for future generation,” he said.
