SHAH ALAM, OCT 13: The State Government is expected to enhance effort in empowering women in the state through the 2018 Selangor Budget that will be tabled this November 3.
Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi however did not comment in detail but left it to Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to decide before announcing it during the budget presentation.
“Insha Allah there is something for women but let Dato’ Menteri Besar announce. If I say it now then there will be no more surprise,” she said when contacted by SelangorKini yesterday.
She hopes this budget will remain comprehensive for all level of communities including women.
She added that women are a key component in creating a ‘gender-responsive budget’.
