Indians’ role and contributions important to develop country

KLANG, OCT 16: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali called on the Indians to continuously support the State Government to enjoy more development as enjoyed by other races.
He said, after 60 years, the Indians cannot be considered as third-class community as they are contributing to the country.
“After 60 years, they can be proud to be a part of Selangor and the country’s mainstream development.
“Don’t look at the Indians as a third-class community. They have dignity, integrity and they want a place in the country’s economy and development.

“I am (Mohamed) Azmin, not Jamal or Najib. If the Indians want to continue being protected, want progress, support Pakatan Harapan and State Government,” he said.
Mohamed Azmin said that at the 2017 Selangor Deepavali Celebration at Jalan Tengku Kelana, Klang, last night.
He said, all citizens have the right to protection as per Federal Constitution and the right to justice in line with Malay Rulers Council’s statement.
He added that Selangor will not tolerate racism and extremism in fact, it takes a progressive approach for everyone’s mutual progression.
He said that Selangor’s wealth is enough for everyone irrespective of race and religion.
In conjunction with the Deepavali celebration attended by over 10,000 people, he described Deepavali of the Festival of Light as unique as it is universally celebrated by all races particularly in Selangor.
He also took the opportunity to give ‘duit raya’ to children and mingled with visitors.
