Large-scale Operation Against Illegal Immigrants in S’gor

KUALA LUMPUR – The police will carry out a massive operation against the influx of Africans, especially Nigeria in the state of Selangor which is seen to be a concern to the public.

Selangor police chief Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin said the ongoing operation would be carried out in areas that has been identified to have an influx of foreigners.

“We believe there are Africans who have proper and complete documents. If that is the case, we will release them, but for those who have violated the terms of the visit or those with an expired student pass, we will be taking action against them, “he said.

He was speaking to reporters after witnessing the handover ceremony between former Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Hamzah Alias ​​and new Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Azmi Yusoff, at Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) here on 27 May.

Asked whether there were foreigners involved with criminal activities such as Afican Scam or Macau Scam, Noor Azam said: “They do exists. That is undeniable. But we consider it all the same … for those who are in the wrong, we will take action accordingly. ”
