Repair of Broken Pipe in Gombak Completed

SHAH ALAM – The burden of bursting pipes in Taman Prima Sri Gombak is ready and the water supply is recovering.

Selangor Water Management and Customer Relations Department Head Abdul Raof Ahmad said the work was completed at 10.30 pm last night and most of the affected areas recovered.

“Monitoring was conducted until 6 am this morning, customer cooperation during this disruption and recovery period was greatly appreciated.

“We apologize for any inconvenience,” he said in a statement.

Yesterday, it was reported that 33 areas around Gombak had an unscheduled water supply disruption following the rupture of the pipe in front of Family Mart, Taman Prima Sri Gombak.

The affected area is Astana Gemilang; Batu 3 to Batu 5 Jalan Gombak; Batu Caves Center Point; Bukit Lela; Desa Minang; Kampung Changkat; Kampung Kerdas; Kampung Kuantan; Kampung Lee Kong Chian; Kampung Melayu Sri Gombak; and Kampung Sungai Mulia.

Also affected by Kampung Sri Gombak Indah; Kampung Tengah Gombak; Light Company; Pinggiran Batu Caves; Prima Sri Gombak; Simpang 3; Diamond Garden; Bolton Park; Taman Gemilang; Taman Gombak Jaya; and the Gombak Setia Park.
