RM400,000 for victims of Storm in Felda Soeharto

GOMBAK – The state government has allocated RM 400,000 to help storm victims in Felda Soeharto, Hulu Selangor.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari said the matter was decided through the state government ,meeting which was on 11 July.

He said, until now there were 139 families identified in the incident.

“The Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme fund will repair the damaged houses and will be assisted by other agencies.

“What matters is that we will fix it and contribute to the allocation,” said Amirudin.

He said this to the media after visiting the stormy victims at Kampung Laksamana Multipurpose Hall, here on 11 July.

On 5 July, at least 20 houses in Felda Soeharto suffered severe damage due to the storm.

In the 5.30 pm incident, a storm that struck about 20 minutes had also caused four families of settlers in Felda to be forced to board at the Public Hall nearby as their homes were severely damaged.
