KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — The repair works at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant is expected to complete by 7 pm this evening, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).
In a statement today, it said that water tanks are being mobilised to the affected customers and three local service centres activated beginning 4 pm today.
The local services centres are located in the following areas:
– Next to Masjid Taming Jaya, Balakong
– Jalan Laksamana, Bandar Mahkota Cheras
– Near Masjid Sultan Hishamuddin Alam Shah, Batu 14, Hulu Langat
“Repair work is still underway and the targetted time to have the repairs completed and have the pumps operational is by 7 pm today,” the statement read.

Earlier today, Air Selangor notified that several areas in the Hulu Langat district would face an unscheduled water supply disruption.
The disruption was said to have been caused by a faulty electrical system at the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant, resulting in several of its raw water pumps to be inoperable.
Some of the areas affected include Balakong, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Country Heights, and Kampung Sungai Ramal.
