SHAH ALAM, Feb 7 — A total of 57 areas in Gombak will be affected by temporary water supply disruption until 6.30pm today.

According to a statement from Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) today, this was due to an emergency maintenance work following a pipe burst incident at Rumah Pam Hulu Kelang earlier this morning.

“The incident had caused the water level at Kolam Air Madonna to drop at 0.72 meters compared to normal water level which is at four-meter,” it said.

Air Selangor further pointed out that previously, two similar incidents occurred in Taman Ukay Heights and Taman Ampang Utama in Ampang.

“Pipe repair works are ongoing and the water supply would gradually be restored when the water level returns to normal,” the statement read.

Air Selangor had activated its emergency action plan by deploying 25 water tanks and two jumbo water tanks to the affected consumers and critical premises such as hospitals.

Consumers are advised to seek emergency water assistance at the local service centre located at AEON Big Ampang, Permai Trading Park in Ampang (GPS coordinates: 3.141065, 101.779456) which has been operating since 9.30am today.
