Covid-19: 6 new positive cases in Singapore, 93 discharged

SINGAPORE, March 11 — Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) yesterday confirmed and verified six more cases of Covid-19 infection in the republic.

Three of the cases are linked to the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong on February 15.

With the three new cases the number of positive cases linked to the cluster has risen to 39, said the ministry in a statement here.

So far, 10 cases are linked to The Life Church and Missions Singapore; five to the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site; 14 to Wizlearn Technologies Pte Ltd; and 23 to the Grace Assembly of God church.

The other two cases are linked to Case 142, with one involving a 28-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in Indonesia from February 29 to March 2.

Meanwhile, one of the new cases currently unlinked involves a 30-year-old Singaporean man who was in France from February 15 to March 7.

To date, a total of 93 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

Of the 73 confirmed cases who are still in hospital the MOH said, most are stable or improving while 12 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

As at noon, MOH has identified 4,004 close contacts who have been quarantined.
