KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 — Selangor saw an increase in new Covid-19 positive cases yesterday, with a total of 53, in comparison to the 27 daily cases recorded on Saturday.
The total tally in the state is now at 943 out of the total 3,662 cases recorded nationwide.
“Please ensure to observe the movement control order in order to curb the Covid-19 outbreak,” Selangor Covid-19 Special Task Force wrote on Twitter yesterday.
The death toll in Selangor stood at seven as there were no new deaths reported in the state.
Selangor has the highest recorded number of cases in the country, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 622 cases, Johor (438), Sarawak (261), Sabah (238), and Negri Sembilan (231).
The total number of fatalities in Malaysia is 61.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 179 new positive Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday.
