Covid-19 daily cases drop in Selangor for second consecutive day

SHAH ALAM, April 16 — Selangor has received a drop in new positive test results for Covid-19 for the second consecutive day with 13 registered cases.

According to the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC), the total tally in the state is now at 1,329 out of the total 5,182 cases recorded nationwide.

“There is a downward trend compared to yesterday where we had 17 cases and today we see 13 cases. There is progress.

“We must abide by the movement control order, all these efforts are not to be in vain,” the task force said on Twitter today.

Earlier, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 119 patients have fully recovered as of noon today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,766 or 53.4 per cent of the total cases.

The number of new cases was 110.

The daily recoveries in the country had exceeded new confirmed cases for four days in a row.
