SHAH ALAM, April 18 — Selangor registered two confirmed Covid-19 cases as of noon today, making it the fourth consecutive day the state sees a downward trend in daily cases.

Yesterday, the state recorded nine new cases, 13 on Thursday and 17 on Wednesday.

According to the infographic shared by the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) on Twitter tonight, Selangor now has 414 active cases registered out of the accumulated 1,340 cases.

The data was provided by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) of the Selangor State Health Department.

“Active cases are those under currently under treatment, excluding the deaths and recoveries recorded.

“There has been a downward trend for four days in a row, with two townships categorised as a red zone,” the task force said.

Based on the active Covid-19 cases, the two townships classified as a red zone are Hulu Langat with 67 cases and Klang (46).

Meanwhile, four Selangor districts that are still grouped as red zones include Hulu Langat with 130 active cases, Petaling (120), Klang (69), and Gombak (45).

Other two districts previously classified as red zones are Sepang and Hulu Selangor, where the active cases remain at 23 and 10 respectively.

The death toll in Selangor stands at 12 with a total recovery of 914 cases.

The Health Ministry had set the red zone category for areas with at least 41 accumulated confirmed Covid-19 cases; orange zone (20-40 cases); yellow zone (1-19 cases); and green zone (no case).
