MB: Stay at home despite relaxed MCO

SHAH ALAM, May 6 — The public is urged to remain at home to break the Covid-19 chain of infection despite the Federal government’s relaxation of the movement control order (MCO), says Selangor Menteri Besar.

“The collective effort from everyone is needed in breaking the Covid-19 chain of infection. We can beat it together,” said Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on Twitter today.

Through an infographic sourced from the Health Ministry, Amirudin noted four reasons why the people must remain at home, such as to curb the virus from spreading to others when one is infected.

It is also stated that staying at home will protect those in the high-risk groups, such as the senior citizens and people with chronic illnesses.

“Staying at home would retain the green zones and improve the localities in the yellow zone to become a green zone,” he said, reminding the public to keep a safe social distance when there is a need to leave the home.

On May 3, Selangor had announced several additional conditions under the conditional movement control order (CMCO) introduced by the Federal government, which had set several guidelines on the reopening of the economic sectors.
