SHAH ALAM, May 13 — The SELangkah (Langkah Masuk dengan Selamat) contact tracing system has recorded over 1 million visitors since it was introduced on May 5, says Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.
The Selangor Health, Welfare, Women Empowerment and Family Executive Committee chairman said that as of May 11, a total of 21,064 business premises in Selangor have registered with the system and a total of 1,039,288 visitors recorded.
“The SELangkah initiative can be used as a digital source that could improve efficiency in data collection, time-saving and reduces the risk of infection as it does away with the manual pen and paper registration,” she said in a statement today.
Dr Siti Mariah said for business premises that use the SELangkah system, visitors are required to have their temperatures checked (below 37.5 degrees Celcius), followed by hand sanitising and scanning of the SELangkah QR code before entering the premise.
Business owners can register for the QR codes at selangkah.mbiselangor.com.my or selangkah.my.
