No new Covid-19 cases recorded in Selangor for first time, Kapar now a green zone

SHAH ALAM, June 11 — Kapar is now declared as a green zone after the two remaining cases reported in the township have fully recovered from the coronavirus.

The Selangor for Covid-19 Task Force (STFC) said the state had also for the first time saw no new Covid-19 cases recorded yesterday.

“Today is a meaningful day as no new cases were recorded in Selangor.

“Though we are elated over the success, we must continue our discipline in practising the new normal. We want this successful momentum to continue and not be a one-off incident,” the task force said on Twitter last night.

A total of 31 townships in Selangor are classified as a green zone, 23 a yellow zone and two red zones, namely Semenyih in Hulu Langat with 46 active cases and Labu (66) in Sepang.

The accumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the state stands at 1,971 out of the total 8,338 cases recorded across the country.
