Medan 88 EMCO: 423 screened, 48 individuals positive Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, Nov 18 — As of this morning, a total of 423 residents of Medan 88 Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang, that is placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) have undergone Covid-19 screenings.

Sepang Disaster Management Committee chairman Mohamad Zain A Hamid said out of that number, 48 individuals tested positive for Covid-19.

“All residents should remain calm and give full cooperation to the authorities to curb the spread of this pandemic.

“We are also monitoring the mental health of residents periodically as well as ensuring food supply is adequate during the EMCO period,” he said to SelangorKini today.

He also called for those who work in Medan 88 but are residing elsewhere to come forward for the tests.

The EMCO in Medan 88 was enforced from November 11 to 25 involving 88 units of shophouses, 284 premises and 800 residents.
