Selangor welcomes allocation for two infrastructure projects

HULU LANGAT, Nov 8 — The Selangor government has welcomed the allocation from the 2021 Budget for two infrastructure projects in the state.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the funds will be used to construct the Klang Third Bridge Project and the Pulau Indah Ringroad Phase 3 which had long been requested.

“This matter had been raised to the Federal government since two years ago. I am thankful for the high amount that has been allocated (for the projects),” he said when met after the post-flood visit and gotong-royong programme at Taman Sri Nanding community hall in Kuala Langat here yesterday.

On Friday, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz had announced a RM3.8 billion in funds for seven new infrastructure projects, of which two are located in Klang.

He said a total of RM15 billion has been allocated to execute key transportation infrastructure projects nationwide, including the Pan Borneo Highway, Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double-Tracking Project and the Klang Valley Double Tracking Project Phase One, the Rapid Transit System Link from Johor Bahru to Woodlands, Singapore and MRT3 in Klang Valley.
