Two dead after car hit road divider on MRR2

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — Two men were killed after a car went out of control and crashed into the road divider in an incident on the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) heading to Selayang near the Batu Caves Roundabout, Gombak, here, this morning.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre, in a statement, said a 25-year-old passenger was found dead while the 29-year-old driver was pinned to his seat in the incident at 6.48am.

“JBPM rushed to the scene after being informed of the incident and found a Toyota Wish MPV, with two people inside, which had hit the divider.

“However, the passenger in the car was confirmed dead at the scene,” said the statement.

According to the statement, firemen were forced to cut open the door of the vehicle to extricate the driver.

“They were able to take out the driver but he was also confirmed dead. The bodies were handed over to the police for further action,” he added.
