Giant Hypermarket Subang Jaya confirms staff infected, closes for 24 hours

SHAH ALAM, Jan 13 — The Giant Hypermarket in Subang Jaya has announced its closure for 24 hours for sanitisation purposes due to confirmed Covid-19 positive cases involving a number of its staff.

“We regret to inform that a number of our team members at Giant Hypermarket Subang Jaya has been tested positive for Covid-19 today, January 13. 

“In order to conduct a full sanitisation and deep cleaning process, Giant Hypermarket Subang Jaya will be closed for 24 hours starting from January 13 to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone,” said the statement posted on Giant Malaysia Facebook page.

The grocery store said, the Health Ministry (MOH) will conduct the necessary contact-tracing and that customers can refer to MOH for further verification.

“Giant Hypermarket Subang Jaya is committed to working with the relevant health authorities to ensure that we are providing the necessary health checks/test to all our team members as advised by the MOH.

“The well-being of all our team members and customers remains a priority for us and we encourage everyone to practise precautionary safety measures in accordance with MOH’s guidelines,” it added.
