Police looking for two witnesses to assist in murder trial

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb  9 — Police are tracking down two local witnesses to assist in a murder trial being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Division, Wangsa Maju district police headquarters (IPD).

The Kuala Lumpur Contingent Police Headquarters in a statement yesterday said the two men were known as Muhamad Khuzaimi Azkhar, 22, whose final address was at PPR Kerinchi, Pantai Dalam here and Muhammad Hanief Zakrul Roslan, 19, whose final address was at Block C10, Section 4 Wangsa Maju.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Wangsa Maju IPD Senior Criminal Investigation Officer DSP G. Stephan at 03-9289 9222/ 016-3767 390, Kuala Lumpur Police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or the nearest police station.

In a separate statement, the police will call and take the statement of a 35-year-old local woman on an  accident involving the car she was driving that hit a motorcycle at the Taman Bersatu traffic light intersection, Rawang near here on Sunday.

Gombak district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe said the accident at about 4.30pm had seriously injured a 23-year-old female motorcyclist.

He said the victim had been taken to Selayang Hospital and was now reported to be in a stable condition.

“Members of the public who witnessed the incident are urged to cooperate and contact investigating officer Sergeant Sakri at 019-9145 899,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
