SHAH ALAM, Feb 17 — The Selangor citizens are encouraged to get themselves tested for the coronavirus at the free Covid-19 community screening operations which kicks-off today, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the screening initiative is scheduled to be held at several areas throughout the state in an effort to reduce the coronavirus infection in the state.

“This series of the screening operations will start in high-density areas such as Shah Alam and Klang. Selangor citizens living nearby are also encouraged to attend.

“Please follow the latest developments through my social media to know more about the upcoming series held in other locations,” he said on a Facebook post today.

The series programme starts today at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) community hall (Dewan MBSA) in Section 19, from 9am to 4pm.

The first series will continue tomorrow at the Pandamaran Jaya multi-purpose hall in Port Klang.

The public is urged to register at http://screening.selangkah.my to ensure a smooth process.

Since last April, the Selangor government had initiated several mass community Covid-19 screenings in hotspots to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The state administration had also introduced the drive-through screening as part of its efforts to flatten the Covid-19 curve and identify more cases.
