Community screenings target 2,000 individuals in four locations

SHAH ALAM, March 12 — The free Covid-19 community screening programme scheduled to be held tomorrow and Sunday (March 13 and 14) are targeting the participation of 500 individuals in each location.

Selcare Clinic manager Mohd Noor Md Nasir said the free Covid-19 screening will start at 9am until 4pm and will be held at the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) multipurpose hall in Bandar Bukit Puchong and Taman Batu Tiga in Subang Jaya.

He said the programme will be continued on Sunday at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Seroja Hall in Section 27, here, and the MBSJ multipurpose hall in USJ 7.

“We hope to get 2,000 individuals screened in total. The residents are urged to take advantage of the free Covid-19 screening as they are yet to be vaccinated,” Mohd Noor told SelangorKini today.

The programme which takes place at the MPSJ multipurpose hall in Bandar Bukit Puchong will focus on residents in Taman Mutiara Indah, Taman Saujana Puchong, Bandar Bukit Puchong and its surrounding areas.

While those at Taman Mutiara Subang and Section 22 of Shah Alam can be tested at Taman Batu Tiga.

The community screening in USJ 7 will target residents from Subang Perdana Goodyear Court and the areas nearby whereas for Section 27, testing will be at the MBSA Seroja Hall.

The state government has set aside RM6 million to carry out the free Covid-19 community screening throughout Selangor to curb the pandemic.

The initiative targets the participation of 50,000 Selangor residents covering high-density areas and low-income groups to lighten their burden and encourage them to be screened for the virus.
