E-kitchen initiative to be held continuously, not only during Ramadan — MB

By Norrasyidah Arshad

AMPANG, March 7 — The Selangor government’s initiative to hold the e-kitchen programme will be held continuously throughout the year as it has helped many traders in generating income.

Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Share said the programme, which was first introduced in April last year following the Covid-19 outbreak, will not only be organised during the Ramadan season.

“The e-kitchen programme has benefited a lot of traders. (State executive councillor for entrepreneur development) Rodziah Ismail is making the necessary arrangements,” said Amirudin when met after launching the Lembah Jaya Coordinator Service Centre, here yesterday.

Amirudin added that the reopening of Ramadan bazaars this year would depend on current developments as to whether the bazaar would be allowed to operate under strict standard operating procedures.

The e-kitchen initiative by the state administration is a digital programme to help entrepreneurs to continue running their operations online and expand their market reach.

Through the Grab and Platform Selangor (Plats) collaboration, the programme had assisted 133 entrepreneurs with a total sales of RM1.5 million.
