Four free Covid-19 screenings this weekend, targets 4,000 residents

SHAH ALAM, March 5 — Four targeted Covid-19 community screening programmes will be conducted simultaneously at several venues in Selangor tomorrow and Sunday.

Selcare Clinic manager Mohd Noor Md Nasir said the free community screening aims to get 1,000 participants at each location starting at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Resak Hall, Subang Perdana, in Shah Alam tomorrow.

He said the same programme will also take place at the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) Multipurpose Hall, in Seri Kembangan on Saturday (March 6).

“Meanwhile, on Sunday, the screening will be conducted at the Section 2 Multipurpose Hall, in Kota Damansara and at Dataran Otomobil, Section 15, in Shah Alam,” he told SelangorKini.

Following that, he urged the public to use the opportunity to detect the infection and control the spread of Covid-19 cases in Selangor.

To register, the public can download the SELangkah (Step in, safely) mobile application and use the function ‘Saringan’, they can also register at the website screening.selangkah.my.

As of February, a total of 4,352 individuals participated in the Covid-19 community screening programme which also involved 894 senior citizens from 32 nursing homes.
