SHAH ALAM, March 13 — The free Covid-19 community screening will be held in Subang Jaya and Puchong today as one of the state government’s measures to contain the Covid-19 infection.
The programme, which runs from 9am to 4pm, is organised simultaneously with screenings at Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) multipurpose halls in Bandar Bukit Puchong and Taman Batu Tiga, Subang Jaya.
The same screening will continue tomorrow at the Shah Alam City Council’s Seroja Hall, Section 27 and MPSJ multipurpose hall in USJ 7.
Members of the public who wish to undergo testing can register through the SELangkah (Step In Safely) mobile application and use the ‘screening’ function in the app or log on to screening.selangkah.my.
The Selangor government has set aside RM6 million to carry out the free Covid-19 community screening throughout the state to curb the pandemic.
The initiative targets the participation of 50,000 Selangor residents covering high-density areas and low-income groups to lighten their burden and encourage them to be screened for the virus.
Since February, a total of 4,352 individuals have participated in the free Covid-19 community screening programme including 894 senior citizens from 32 old folks’ care centres.
