Invest Selangor staff sign corruption-free pledge, launch anti-corruption plan

SHAH ALAM, March 25 — Invest Selangor Berhad chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris led 66 staff to recite and sign the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) at the Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC) here today.

He said as an investment promotion organisation, all staff need to practice and maintain a high level of integrity as well as set an example to other companies.

“Invest Selangor is a mirror of the state government because this company deals with investors, therefore its officers and staff need to show good practices.

“We do not want the IBR to only be on the lips, but to have it pinned on the heart to reject corruption and abuse of power,” he said.

He said this to reporters after the IBR recitation and signing ceremony that was witnessed by the Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and Selangor Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) director Datuk Alias ​​Salim.

At the same event, Invest Selangor also launched the Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) 2021-2023, thus becoming the first state-owned companies to implement the initiative.

OACP aims to address weaknesses in governance, integrity and corruption among Invest Selangor workforce towards it becoming an efficient, responsible and trustworthy corporate organisation.
