SHAH ALAM, March 29 — Residents in 30 areas in Selangor are reminded to prepare for the scheduled water supply disruption following the planned maintenance works at Persiaran Selangor, in Section 15, Shah Alam, beginning tomorrow.
On March 24, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) had in a statement informed of the 48 hours scheduled water cuts, which would start from 9am.
Its Corporate Communications head Elina Baseri said the duration of the scheduled disruption and the restoration of water supply following the maintenance works will vary from one area to another depending on the location of the consumers’ premises as well as the water pressure level on the water distribution system.
“Air Selangor would like to advise the affected consumers to store water adequately and to use water prudently during this temporary scheduled disruption,” the statement read.
She said the scheduled maintenance work is carried out to improve the water treatment and distribution services for its customers.
The following are the details on the water supply disruption, affecting several areas in Petaling, Klang and Shah Alam:
– Removal and connecting new pipes near the Carlsberg factory in Section 15, on March 30, from 9am to 9pm
– Water disruption in five areas in Petaling, Klang (14), and Shah Alam (11)
– Water is expected to be fully restored on April 1 at 9am.
The water supply disruption was due to scheduled maintenance work on major assets that was approved by the National Water Service Commission (SPAN).
