Online Ramadan festival attracts visitors from outside of Selangor

SHAH ALAM, April 30 — The Selangor Ramadan Festival (Festira) e-commerce platform via BazaarLokal.com has attracted the attention of those living outside of Selangor.

PKNS Real Estate Sdn Bhd (PREC) acting centre manager Syahril Mohd Rashid said online shopping has made it easier for people from other states to shop for various items offered on the platform.

“Most customers who visit BazaarLokal.com are loyal customers of Festira. However, due to the interstate travel ban, they could not visit the malls where Festira is held.

“So, through BazaarLokal.com, they can still buy the items they want and this would also help the traders,” he told SelangorKini.

Syahril said the traders at BazaarLokal.com have gained new experience and knowledge through their participation in the virtual festival.

“With the cooperation of Lazada and the Selangor Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), we help traders gain knowledge on marketing strategies which helps them in generating income,” he said.

Apart from BazaarLokal.com, the festival is also organised physically at the PKNS Complex in Shah Alam and Bangi as well as at the SACC Mall, Shah Alam, from March 26 to May 12.

PREC operates both the PKNS Shah Alam Complex and SACC Mall in Shah Alam.
