SHAH ALAM, May 6 — Residents in Pandan Indah, Ampang, are urged to take part in the free Covid-19 community screening in the area on May 11.

Its state assemblyman Izham Hashim said the initiative to detect active cases will take place at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council Hall starting from 9am.

“The pandemic is still active in our community, so I strongly encourage residents to participate in this free screening programme. We would feel more confident and safe if we get ourselves tested,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.

Izham said the residents could also choose from seven other locations in Hulu Langat where the screening operation will be held, including at the Bandar Rinching Public Hall and Taman Mesra Public Hall, Kajang, on May 8.

While on May 9, the Covid-19 screening will also take place at the Bandar Baru Bangi Section 7 Hall and the Kampung Baru Balakong Public Hall.

“The testing operation on May 10 will be held at the Pandan Mewah Community Hall, Ampang, and the Titiwangsa Public Hall, Hulu Langat, while on May 11 it will be at the Lembah Jaya Hall, Ampang,” said Izham.

The Selangor government is actively conducting Covid-19 monitoring programme via free screening operations throughout the state from May 8 to June 10.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiative will benefit the high-risk groups in Selangor, who are in close contact, having symptoms and worried about their health status.
