Proactive efforts by Selgate to ramp up vaccine delivery, reach herd immunity

SHAH ALAM, June 29 — The Selangor government, through Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd (Selgate), is carrying out proactive measures to speed up vaccine delivery to workers in the industrial and private sectors under its Selangor Covid-19 Vaccination Programme (SVCP) initiative.

Selgate Corporation Sdn Bhd Senior Legal and Compliance manager Mohd Fauzi Ibni Hajar said the efforts had been conducted simultaneously at five vaccination centres (PPVs) in the Klang Valley.

He said the PPVs involved are namely Evo Mall in Bangi, Tropicana Garden Mall in Petaling Jaya, PKNS Complex in Kelana Jaya, De Palma Hotel in Shah Alam and Aurora Mall in Bukit Jalil.

“We hope that with this initiative, more people would come forward to get vaccinated, especially those in the industrial and private sectors, which would then help the government in reaching herd immunity target,” he said during the SCVP at Evo Mall, Bangi.

Mohd Fauzi said those involved in the programme include volunteers that have been trained by Pharmaniaga Bhd in vaccine handling from the beginning until it is delivered to the recipients in accordance with the guideline by the Health Ministry.

“On the number of daily vaccine doses, that would depend on the capacity of the PPV. For example, at Evo Mall, up to 3,000 individuals can be vaccinated in a day,” said Mohd Fauzi, who is also the Evo Mall chief executive officer.
