Take part in free screening this Saturday, Kajang folks told

SHAH ALAM, June 23 — The Selangor Menteri Besar has urged residents in Kajang to undergo the free Covid-19 screening this Saturday.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said that the third phase of the community screening organised by the state government will be held at Dewan Seri Cempaka from 9am to 6pm.

“Kajang residents and the community around the location are encouraged to take part in the free screening. Participants may sign up via the SELangkah mobile app,” he said on Facebook last night.

The mass testing initiative utilises the antigen rapid test kit (RTK-Ag) which allows detection of infection in less than 30 minutes.

The state government has allocated RM10.7 million for the programme focusing on hotspot areas as well as manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Prior to this, the same programme was held at other constituencies namely Seri Setia, Taman Medan, Gombak Setia, Sungai Tua and Taman Templer.

For Hulu Kelang and Bukit Antarabangsa, the programme will be held on June 27.
