EMCO: Three people allowed in car for medical, vaccination purposes — IGP

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 — Residents in enhanced movement control order (EMCO) areas are allowed to travel three in a car, including the driver, to go for Covid-19 vaccination or seek medical attention, said Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

He said the residents involved only need to show proof of the appointment on the MySejahtera app, website page or SMS message to security personnel on duty in the field.

“For emergency cases like sickness or death, approval to travel will be given on a case-by-case basis,” he said in a statement here.

Acryl Sani reminded Malaysians to comply with the standard operating procedure of Phase One of movement control under the National Recovery Plan and to play their part to flatten the Covid-19 infection curve.

Yesterday, the government announced that the EMCO would be enforced in most areas of Selangor and certain localities in Kuala Lumpur from tomorrow till July 16.
