Public reminded not to visit, travel interstate as police intensify inspection during Aidiladha

KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today reminded the public not to make any visit or travel interstate in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha tomorrow.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the police would also increase inspection on standard operating procedures (SOP) compliance by mobilising numerous SOP compliance monitoring teams with focus to be given on residential areas and public areas.

He said the PDRM was committed to taking stern action against those found to have purposely defied the SOP.

“The public are also reminded not to make any visit or travel interstate during this festive season.

“Any violation of the SOP will face action based on the provision under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988 (Act 342),” he said in a statement here today.

Acryl Sani said the police also advised the public to adhere to the SOP set by the National Security Council for the social sector in celebrating Hari Raya Aidiladha.
