Najmuddin appointed as new MPKj president

SHAH ALAM, Aug 2 — Najmuddin Jemain has been appointed as the president of Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) effective July 19.

Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony today, Najmuddin urges the council to work collectively to help those who have been affected by the Covid-19 outbreak including individuals who lost their job, the disabled group, single mothers and senior citizens.

“All MPKj employees should be proactive in extending help according to their capabilities as well as facilitate the stakeholder’s affair,” he said.

Najmuddin added that he will focus on improving the council’s delivery system to achieve its target of becoming a city under the MPKj Strategic Plan 2021-2015.

Apart from that, the council aims to support the country’s digital and smart city policy by introducing their online services to ease public affairs.

Najmuddin, 46, holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Universiti Malaya and a Masters Degree in Law from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Prior to the appointment, Najmuddin was the Hulu Langat district officer replacing Datuk Zulkefli@Zulkefli Khalid.
