RM472 mln approved to aid SMEs under Selangor Advance, says MB

SHAH ALAM, Aug 6 — As of July 30, Selangor Advance has approved funds amounting to RM472 million for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the state, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said some 925 companies have applied for the financing scheme.

“The financing will help to ensure the continuity of a company’s cash flow, giving some assurance to its employees and their wellbeing.

Selangor Advance was introduced on June 22, 2020, as an easy and flexible financing scheme for SMEs, especially contractors and service providers, to ease them through the challenging Covid-19 business landscape.

On June 9, the financing scheme received RM200 million in additional funds from the Kita Selangor Package 2.0.
