HULU SELANGOR, Sept 24 — A total of 350 individuals turned up when the Selangor Vaccination Programme’s mobile unit (Selvax mobile) came to Kuala Kubu Bharu today.

Its state representative Lee Kee Hiong said the programme received an encouraging response from the local community but they could not accommodate everyone as some of them did not register before coming.

“The registration was opened several days ago but people still came despite not having an appointment. We were not able to grant their requests to be vaccinated as we have to prioritise those who have registered first.

“We will only give the vaccine if the registered participants fail to turn up,” she said to SelangorKini when met during the Selvax mobile programme at Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Chuang Rasa, here, today.

Lee also proposed to the state government to continue the mobile vaccination programme as there are still many individuals, both locals and foreigners, who have yet to receive their vaccine.

“I hope this initiative will be continued,” she said.

Operating from 9am to 5pm, the programme which started on September 12 will make visits to 11 constituencies in the state.

The Kita Selangor Package 2.0 announced on June 9 had allocated RM200 million to make this programme possible, via the Selvax Community initiative.
