2022 Selangor Budget to focus on education, Covid-19 assistance

SHAH ALAM, Oct 9 — The 2022 Selangor Budget will focus on increasing the state’s revenue, education aspects and initiatives to assist those affected by Covid-19.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the state government also wanted to ensure the budget would boost the economic sector.

“We will try to provide the essentials needed for the people to return to normalcy after the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Among the gist include on how to increase revenues, focus on education and assistance programmes to those affected due to the pandemic,” he said during the 2022 Selangor Budget townhall session, here, yesterday.

He also assures that proposals from state representatives will be taken into consideration to be included in the budget which is currently in the final phase.

“We are now in the final phase and there is around one more month left, there is still time to make several arrangements,” he said.
