Unvaccinated individuals can now get shots at private clinics in Klang Valley

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 — Those living in and around Klang Valley who have yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccination appointment can now do so for free at private healthcare facilities, alongside government health clinics.

The Health Ministry said this also applies to those who have already received their first vaccination dose, but are still waiting for their second dose.

“To improve the access to vaccination in Selangor and KL, ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd (ProtectHealth) has developed the vaccine booking programme for adults, starting today, at selected private health facilities registered under the organisation,” it said in a statement.

For the time being, those in Klang Valley who wish to obtain vaccination appointments must contact and make reservations at any one of the 98 facilities under ProtectHealth.

“The reserved vaccination programme is to avoid wastage and the uncertainty of vaccine demand. The programme’s target groups include adults who have yet to register and obtain appointments, adults who have missed their appointments for dose one and dose two, as well as other categories which will be announced by the ministry from time to time.

“These groups can contact the selected facilities to obtain appointment slots beforehand, and will be given a date to be inoculated,” said the ministry.
