Upgrades and maintenance for water treatment plant begins on schedule

SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — The upgrading and maintenance works on critical assets for the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP) began today morning and on schedule as planned.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said the works commence at 9am, with the maintenance phase expected to be completed by 11pm today.

“Water supply will be distributed in stages starting from 5pm tomorrow (October 14) once the water supply system has been stabilised,” it said in a statement.

Air Selangor said the duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary, depending on the distance of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

“Water supply is expected to be fully restored by 9pm on Saturday (October 16) The complete list of the affected areas, public water taps, and commercial water filling stations can be obtained at hentitugas.airselangor.com.

“We will be mobilising alternative water supply to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres, Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centres, vaccination centres, as well as for funerals,” it said.

The public and Air Selangor consumers may refer to all official communication channels, including its application, FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
