SHAH ALAM, Nov 24 — The public will have an option to purchase books from the upcoming 2021 Selangor Book Fair on the Shopee and Selangor Digital E-Supply Chain (Seldec) e-commerce platforms.
Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) director said the service will make it easier for those who cannot attend the event that starts on December 2 to purchase their favourite books.
“For Shopee the seller will arrange for the delivery, while with Seldec it will be sent by their own delivery team at a very cheap rate compared to other delivery services.
“Meanwhile, for visitors who come to the event, they can opt for a cashless payment facility because the organisers will provide a QR code,” said Datin Paduka Mastura Muhamad to SelangorKini.
Meanwhile, she informed that 121 exhibitors will take part in the book festival which is held the first time in a hybrid manner, namely physical and online.
“People, especially book lovers, need to use this platform to get a variety of interesting reading materials at affordable prices.
“Visitors need not worry because the standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be strict because we only allow 2,000 visitors at a time,” she said.
The fair will be held at the Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC) here from December 2 to 12 and will offer more than 200,000 books from within and outside the country.
