Flood victims in Selangor, KL to get water bill exemption in Jan 2022

SHAH ALAM, Dec 31 —  Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) today announced that its domestic accounts customers in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur will get an exemption on water bill payment for the month of January 2022.

Its Corporate Communication head Elina Baseri said the exemption is part of the Bantuan Selangor Bangkit programme (BSB) that was recently announced by the Selangor government.

“Customers in flood-affected areas will automatically receive a one-month exemption on water bill payment, and they are not required to fill in or submit any form to Air Selangor.

“During this payment exemption period, the monthly water bills will continue to be issued by Air Selangor.

“However, customers who are eligible to receive the exemption on water bill payment do not have to make payment for the stipulated period,” said Elina in a statement issued today.

Air Selangor also said that it understands the difficulties experienced by customers affected by the flood incident and hopes that this assistance will help ease their burden.

For further information consumers can also refer to all its official communication channels including the Air Selangor mobile app, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, or call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.

Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted to the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor mobile app.
