Water supply restoration in affected areas in Klang Valley at 95 pct

SHAH ALAM, Dec 23 — The restoration of water supply in areas in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, and Hulu Langat has reached 98 per cent as of 6am today.

In a statement today, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said water supply has fully recovered in affected areas in Petaling and Kuala Lumpur, while the restoration rate in Hulu Langat is at 91.4 per cent.

“For areas that are still affected, water supply is expected to fully recover at 10am on December 24 (tomorrow).

“Consumers can obtain the list of affected areas from the hentitugas.airselangor.com website as well as the Air Selangor application,” the statement read.

Air Selangor said it will continue to provide alternative assistance through water tankers that are mobilised in stages to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

On Sunday, several areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur were hit by unscheduled water cuts due to the emergency closure of four water treatment plants following increasing water levels.
