Report: Over 30,000 tonnes of flood waste collected by MBSA

SHAH ALAM, Jan 4 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has collected approximately 31,374 tonnes of post-flood waste in affected areas under its jurisdiction, as of January 3.

In a post-flood cleanup report, the council said a total of 2,868 tonnes were collected today, with 2,554 tonnes in Klang district and the remainder in Petaling district.

MBSA said the post-flood cleanup process in nine localities under Petaling have been fully completed.

The areas include Section 13, Section 19, Section 22 (Kampung Kebun Bunga), Section 23, Section 28 (Kampung Lanchong Jaya), Section U1 (Taman Mesra), Section U3 (Desa Subang Perantau), Section U6 (Kampung Melayu Subang), and U17 (Kampung Merbau Sempak/Kampung Kubu Gajah).

The process in four flood-affected areas in Klang have also been fully completed. These include Section 32, Section 33 (Alam Indah), Section 35 (Taman Desa Kemuning), and Section 36 (Taman Sri Wangi and Sungai Kandis).

Similarly a total of 2,382 tonnes of waste was collected from Taman Sri Muda in Section 25 today.
