SHAH ALAM, Feb 24 — A total of 53,825 flood victims in Klang have received the cash aid of RM1,000 under the Bantuan Selangor Bangkit (BSB) initiative as of yesterday.
Klang district officer Mohd Faizal Abdul Raji said the number was recorded since the distribution started on December 28 last year.
Today, another 7,600 flood victims are expected to receive the assistance at Kompleks Sukan Pandamaran, Dewan Kilat TNB at Jalan Kapar and Dewan Serbaguna at Klang Land and District Office.
“Today’s programme is not the last as we will hold another session at the Land and District Office, especially for the recipients who could not make it.
“Also to make things easier for the flood victims, we urged them to update their application with details of their bank account number to enable distribution of the cash aid via electronic fund transfer (EFT),” he said.
The update can be made at www.selangor.gov.my/klang.php/database_stores/form/28.
Applicants must submit their MyKad number, full name, bank account number, bank name, a screenshot of the front page of the bank statement, a selfie photo of holding their MyKad, and a contact number.
Starting from Sunday until today, the Klang District and Land Office have stepped up the distribution process to over 46,000 flood victims at several locations from 3pm to 8.30pm.
Additional manpower from Klang Municipal Council, Shah Alam City Council and Subang Jaya City Council were also deployed to help with the distribution process.
