SHAH ALAM, Feb 12 — Sinovac vaccine will be made available for booster doses at all offsite vaccination centres (PPVs) under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) from February 14.

In a statement posted on Twitter today, ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd said the vaccine is available by walk-in to individuals who had received their primer doses (first and second dose).

Those who are eligible can check the list of offsite PPVs on the ProtectHealth website: www.protecthealth.com.my.

“However, the Health Ministry (MOH) is still recommending Pfizer boosters for Sinovac recipients as it offers a higher level of protection,” said the agency.

On February 7, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that individuals who received Sinovac for their primer doses (first and second dose) are allowed to obtain the same vaccine as their boosters.

He also said that there were 3.5 million recipients of the Sinovac primer doses who have yet to receive their booster shots, and the MOH will be issuing appointments for them.
