Go Selangor more convenient for international travellers to get tourism access — MB

By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, May 13 — The Go Selangor app makes it easier for travellers around the world to access information regarding tourism products in the state without much hassle, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the app is a one-stop centre with many amenities for its users.

“Go Selangor is the only state tourism app in Malaysia which makes it easier for tourists worldwide to access features including ticket reservations, hotels, chalets, homestays and transportation,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.

He also shared an infographic which stated 300 operators have registered with the app, with a target of 100,000 by the end of the year and where bookings can be made directly without agents.

During its launch on April 14, state executive councillor for tourism Hee Loy Sian said the app was developed in cooperation with local startup Tourplus Technology at a cost of RM3 million, in line with the digitalisation of Selangor tourism.

He added the app is the only one of its kind launched in Malaysia, and was already ready to be downloaded from the Google PlayStore whereas it will be made available on the iOS’ App Store sometime this month.
