SHAH ALAM, May 25 — The Go Selangor travel app offers cheaper packages compared to other tourism platforms or counters reservation services.

Tourism Selangor Corporate Communications manager Ahmad Nazri Tashriq Rahmat said the special price offered was part of the package to promote attractive tourist sites in the state.

“Since its introduction, a total of 1,300 users have used this (Go Selangor) app. Theme parks and hotels are among the offers that received the most responses,” he told Selangorkini.

He added that so far, about 3,000 tour operators have registered and are active users of the app.

“This app is managed by Tourplus company in collaboration with Tourism Selangor. We will continue to promote attractive locations in the state by giving out special offers.

“In addition, we are also developing a strategy to publicise this app to consumers,” he said.

The state government has developed Go Selangor as the state tourism app to enable travellers from all over the world to gain access to state tourism products.

Developed in collaboration with local start-up company Tourplus Technology, at the cost of RM3 million, the app is part of the efforts to digitalise the Selangor tourism industry.

The app acts as a one-stop centre for tourists coming to Selangor by allowing travellers to book tickets, hotels, chalets, homestays and transportation easily.
